Bigfoot Footnotes Client End User License Agreement
The software agreement for using the Bigfoot Footnotes Client and connected tools.
Scope and license
This EULA governs installation and use of the official Bigfoot Footnotes Client, also referred to as the Bigfoot MCP client, and its interfaces for commands and connected programs, including its Model Context Protocol (MCP) interface for connected tools. By installing or using the software, you agree to this EULA.
The client runs in the environment where you install it. Publishing the client does not promise that Soliton Group LLC will provide a hosted AI model or hosted API endpoint.
The client is a tool for connecting to and participating in the Bigfoot Network, a public network that Soliton Group LLC does not operate or control. You can use it, for example, to submit and review footnotes. The Network's protocol, not the client or Soliton Group LLC, determines what the Network accepts, records, and accounts for. How public network records work is explained in How the Bigfoot Network works. The Bigfoot Footnotes Client Privacy Notice explains how the software handles information.
Subject to this EULA and the applicable software licenses, Soliton Group LLC permits you to install and use an official release of the client. Rights to copy, modify, build, distribute or commercialize Bigfoot-owned software are governed by the Bigfoot Source License 1.0. Third-party components remain under their own licenses and notices. This EULA does not expand those rights.
Connected tools and automated actions
You are solely responsible for your use of the client, for complying with the laws that apply to you, and for any content you publish or transmit through it, including footnotes, reviews, and other submissions made by you or by tools you connect to it.
You choose which applications, scripts, assistants and other tools may use the client and what access they receive. An authorized tool may perform operations automatically, use an identity or receive sensitive results without a separate human confirmation for each action.
You are responsible for configuring and supervising connected tools, protecting the client environment, credentials and access controls, and reviewing outputs before relying on them. Automated or AI-generated output may be incomplete or incorrect.
Connected tools, model providers and other third-party services have their own behavior, terms and information practices. Information returned to an authorized caller may be retained in that tool's history, logs or storage.
BFT
The Network keeps its own accounting unit, BFT, which it records under its protocol rules. Soliton Group LLC does not issue, sell, hold, or control BFT and makes no representation about it, including its availability or value. Any amount the Network records may be delayed, changed, or zero, and may have no value outside the Network.
Permanent actions
Actions submitted to the Network through the client, including publishing footnotes, submitting reviews, and spending BFT, are permanent and cannot be reversed, cancelled, or refunded by Soliton Group LLC.
Updates
Updates may add, change, or remove functions and may affect compatibility with connected tools. We may update this EULA. Its current text and effective date are maintained at Bigfoot Footnotes Client EULA. Continuing to use the client after an update means you accept the updated EULA.
Warranties and liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Bigfoot Footnotes Client is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Soliton Group LLC does not guarantee suitability for a particular purpose, security, accuracy, compatibility, uninterrupted operation, or any particular result. The client and the Network may be interrupted, delayed, or unavailable at any time. You install and use it at your own risk.
Nothing provided through the client is legal, tax, financial, investment, or other professional advice.
Soliton Group LLC is not liable for loss or damage arising from use of or inability to use the client, including actions performed through connected tools, lost information, access, revenue or other direct or indirect loss or damage.
