Bigfoot is designed to be operated by public nodes, not hosted as a company feed.
Nodes may
- Store and serve valid protocol data.
- Serve route state.
- Perform read retrieval and search work.
- Relay traffic.
- Participate in write admission.
- Maintain availability, eligibility, standing, and regional capacity.
Nodes are not
- Moderators.
- Instances.
- Community admins.
- Policy authorities.
- Mini-platforms.
How nodes earn
Nodes earn when they provide authorized, user-consumed service and that work passes protocol settlement. Settlement-bearing work is selected by protocol route state and active network policy, not by operator preference or company favoritism.
Bootstrap nodes
Soliton Group LLC may operate bootstrap nodes at launch. Bootstrap nodes are ordinary nodes. They receive no special routing preference, settlement privilege, assignment priority, ranking authority, visibility authority, truth authority, moderation authority, namespace authority, or exemption from penalties.
